On 3 Nov., Starbucks launches its holiday menu made up of new additions and old favourites, all available in the iconic red cups. If 2021 saw you become a Caramel Waffle Latte addict, then you’ll be thrilled to hear it’s back this year, along with the classic Toffee Nut Latte, Gingerbread Latte, and Eggnog Latte. So far, so good. But it’s the two new additions that have really got us excited for Santa season.
Picture the scene: you’re in a cold Christmas market, the snow starts to fall, and you’re hugging a warm cup of . . . Praline Cookie Hot Chocolate. Just the name has got us salivating. It’s 2022’s new beverage made up of mocha sauce and steamed milk with a baked cookie flavour of caramelised hazelnut, almond, and walnut, with chocolate whipped cream and cookie crumbs sprinkled on top. We just need to the weather to turn cooler for us to really feel the benefits.
If iced coffee is more your bag, then there is a brand new Toffee Nut Cream Cold Brew, too. Combining vanilla syrup with coffee, and toffee nut cream foam with sprinkles to finish, it’s a sweet treat for anyone who prefers to celebrate a cool yule.
‘Tis the season for indulgence, so you can always pair your drink with a Pigs Under Blanket Roll or a Festive Feast Panini, which is essentially a roast dinner sandwich.
